Rally Liepja 2015: first snow event ERC for C-Rally Academy

After Arctic Rally in Finland, C-Rally team moved to Latvia to take part in the second round of the European  Rally Championship - Rally Liepaja. Under the brand of C-Rally Academy three crews from Poland will enter the event: Jaroslaw Koltun / Ireneusz Pleskot (Ford Fiesta R5), Tomasz Kasperczyk / Damian Syty (Subaru Impreza STi) and Aron Domzala / Simon Gospodarczyk (Citroen DS3 R3T).

- Arctic Rally was another valuable experience for our team - says Krzysztof Oborsky from C-Rally.  - Supporting Michal Solowow and Maciek Baran with Ford Fiesta R5 at the event famous for demanding and even severe winter conditions, enabled us to prepare well for the Latvian round of the European Championship. Although all of our crews treat the rally as some kind of testing we expect their fast and efficient perfromance.

- Rally Liepaja is a big logistical challenge for our Academy - Remigiusz Pięta, chief engineer of the C-Rally adds. - We will support as many as three crews, and each of them will drive different car. It means we have to provide parts for Ford, Subaru and Citroen. Fortunately Urmo Aava, who is managing our subsidiary in Estonia will be very helpful here. Directly from Latavia we are moving to Sweden to support Michal Solowow and Maciek Baran in their start in WRC rally on Ford Fiesta WRC. Jarek Koltun on Ford Fiesta R5 will also take part in the event.

The second round of the European Rally Championship consists of 12 special stages with a total length of 205 km. Stages in Courland are covered with a thick layer of snow and ice, and crews will be allowed to use tires with long spikes. The headquarters are located on the Baltic Sea port of Liepaja. The competition will begin on Saturday, and the finish is scheduled for Sunday.
